VISIONS OF DUTRONC
W E D N E S D A Y, 3 M A Y
Anya is absolutely MAD on that other song of Jacques Dutronc’s, the one with dirge-y bits mixed with fast jazzy bits. It's called 'L’Idole' and it’s about the people (the songwriters, managers and 'les filles') who exploit pop stars and make their lives miserable.
Heard a tape on the Ruhr in German. Then at the end of the lesson something awful happened: Miss Leopold fell down the steps and landed in a heap at the bottom.
Lynda Wallis was saying today it’s not just calories that make you fat, it’s proteins and other things too. She says she never goes to school dinners anymore - she's slimming. If Owl finds out she'll go mad!!! When I got home I added up all the calories I've had today and they came to 1,838. The Times says girls of 16-20 should have 2,500 a day. On the other hand, the slimming leaflet says people 5'5" tall should have 1,300. That's only if they want to slim of course, which I don't.
Whenever I look at my diary it's the skiing holiday I turn to first - I could read about Dutronc (and write about him) forever. How could I be so miserable the day I met him, when I should have been so desperately happy?
Jenny told me today that Rosko used to be on English Luxembourg as EMPEROR Rosko - no wonder he can speak perfect English, he was born in Hollywood!
Felt a bit funny in the evening - sort of quivery.
