SO ARE WE LIVING IN A DECLINING CIVILISATION?

Lay in bed till 10.30. Half asleep, I made up this fab story - how I met Dutronc on Paloma Beach, and, with some other French friends, we all went out together. Oh it was FAB.
Washed my hair and my fringe went foul so I cut it and cut it and now it's too short, and not the least even.
Got on quite well with Australia project - did Political Parties and Immigration. Really quite interesting. Then listened to S.L.C. at 5.30 - Sylvie Mouton is the ‘Mademoiselle Age Tendre’ of the year. She's quite sweet but I would never have imagined she'd win. Anyway she's won a trip to New York.
Daddy has got an incredibly pessimistic view of this civilisation. It infuriates Mummy and me. OK maybe no great authors, musicians etc have yet turned up but that doesn't mean there aren't any. You might as well hope. It's incredibly depressing to think we're living in a lousy period all of the time.
In bed I got visions of Dutronc - the clearest I've ever had. Honestly it was marvellous. When he smiles he looks like Jacques Dutronc on p.58 of February's 'Salut le Copains'.
