'ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE'
John's song, written for 'Our World', the world's first ever satellite link-up for TV in June 1967

Woke up with vile sore throat so didn’t go to school. Helped with housework, and watched all of Wimbledon in the afternoon.
Billy-Jean beat Kathy Harter very, very easily, I felt so sorry for Kathy. Then it was the semi-finals with Miss Casals and Anne Jones - and Anne Jones won!!! Nobody expected her to!!! Then we saw the most hilarious men’s doubles: Ulrich from Denmark was playing and he’s just like a Viking, with terribly long hair and a beard (without the beard he'd be such a snazz). I can't believe he's been playing at Wimbledon for 18 years! Then saw a fantastic men's doubles between Emerson and Fletcher and the two English boys, Curtis and Sitwell. It was tremendously exciting - but in the end ghastly old Emerson and Fletcher (who was being grumpy as usual) just won. We missed some of T.O.T.P. because of it.
Procul Harum are still No. 1. – 5th week now! – and the recording session of the Beatles that we saw on ‘Our World’ was shown again. The song’s called ‘All You Need is Love’ and it's fab.
Poor Chump was sick today and she got a terrible headache – she’s always getting them.
Somehow I felt pretty miserable in the evening, which is so mad since I’m going to France tomorrow. I can’t understand why. Maybe I feel dissatisfied because of missing to school today.
