Beautiful weather, though still pretty cold.
Second period we went to the Hall where Miss Lack talked about the Sixth Form Unit. Miss Lack is so keen on committees - Sandra says we’ll end up forming a committee to form committees! I’ve put my name down for hospitality. Anya says she’ll be ‘Potted Plant Watering Representative’.
Martha clings on to Anya dreadfully, probably because they’ve got boyfriends who are equal weeds. Funnily enough Anya is getting extraordinarily fond of Talcum Powder. Well, there’s nothing wrong with him, except that he’s DULL. I’m afraid I aim high, and if a boy hasn’t even got good looks to make up for the rest of it he is a weed. Dutronc certainly wasn’t dull (I forgive him for being keen on girls!). The only thing is, he got moody at times.
Went to the meeting after school on the cruise. It’s such a bore we have to wear blazers. We also have to have winter uniform, not summer. But the worst thing of all is having to get up at 7am; going to bed at 9.30 is practically as bad. Since most of the people on board are younger than us I think we’re going to get treated rather babyishly.
Went home with Pat which was very nice. Talked about how beastly Miss Grant is to Anya.
Anya rang up to say I must turn on the radio - Polnareff is on France Inter!!! Oh, every time I hear his voice it brings back Sept 15th!!! But now I’m so miserable and I feel so frustrated – we won’t see him for years. He’s going to Los Angeles for two months to record, and to see Scott McKenzie and the Mamas and Papas. He’ll probably never record in England again. I should think he’s forgotten us by now.
