INGRID WATCHES SOME JOLLY GOOD TV

Saw The Monkees. It was jolly good. I don’t mind if it’s funny or not, I love them, especially Mickey. But they’ll never be anything as big as the Beatles because their acting isn’t to such a high standard as the Beatles’ singing and song-writing. The Beatles also had the tremendous advantage of being a complete novelty. That was definitely the main factor for their success.

Saw a jolly good film on the first steam-ship to cross the Atlantic. It's incredible how the people then just wouldn't believe steam would take over. I'm sure I would have immediately seen that it was inevitable. It's the same now - people took ages to realise the Hovercraft would work. 

Also saw 'Adam Adamant' - it was terribly good. I miles prefer it to 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E'.
