THE SUNDAY TIMES PROVIDES DISTRACTION

Did Geog all day. Later I read the Sunday Supplement for distraction. I’m so fed up about exams – they depress me beyond measure. England is an exam-riddled country.

Discussed at dinner how to go to Austria this year. Pa and me want to go by plane - easier to take our skis - but Ma and Chump by boat to Ostend. It's ridiculous to be scared of planes in this day and age.

Chatted about summer holidays after dinner, but we can’t decide whether to go to Portugal or the Dordogne.
