TOM JONES - PURE SLOP

In French, Madame Greenfield (Divi 1) came to see how we were getting on. So for once Miss Johnson had to speak French. Madame G isn’t going to teach us after all, which is a great disappointment. The only thing that keeps French alive for me any more is French radio.
Dinner break was one of the ghastliest I've ever spent, I had such a frightful tummy-ache, sometimes I couldn't walk. Went and got two Aspirins from Mrs Trembath but they had no effect till about quarter to four. It really was grim.
Chump and me walked to Hedge Corner and only had to wait five minutes for the 80A. Mummy very jaded - she did lots of clearing out today.
Top of the Pops jolly good - the Monkees have gone up to No 2 with 'I’m a Believer', from nowhere, which is incredible. It's their TV programme, of course. I wonder if they’ll be as popular as the Beatles? I shouldn't be a bit surprised. Tom Jones is still No. 1 with 'The Green Green Grass of Home' - pure slop.
Saw a programme on the monarchy.
72% of the people they asked think the Queen has political power! It's appalling how ignorant half the nation is. Should they have the vote? (Bit snobbish of me but it really is shocking.)
